As we continue to move more of our business into the cloud, we need to add a Productions Operations System Engineer to our Engineering Operations and Practices team.  This is a hands on technical role that will require strong communication and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external).

A DevOps Systems Engineer at Nintex is responsible for an ever improving, diverse set of platforms that support our customer-facing products and services. Working in our globally located Production Operations Team you are also responsible for actively participating in planning, designing, developing, implementing, monitoring, supporting and improving our development/test and production environments.

As part of Production Operations, the DevOps System Engineer will also work with multiple other departments and teams involving; security practices, technical documentation, vendor management, product and feature development, and production incidents rectification/remediation.

The day to day:

  • Build on, refine, and maintain the DocGen for Salesforce development, test and production environments, and tooling. This includes the following duties and deliverables:
  • Management of our public cloud and private cloud hosted servers and environments
  • Assist in the sustained availability, performance, and security of our environments.
  • Assist with regular network penetration and/or vulnerability scanning
  • Build and maintain redundancy, back-up and restore strategies
  • Assist in growth planning to ensure normal operations across our environments.
  • Collaborate with the Production Operations and Product Teams on infrastructure operations practices, continuous and automated deployments, monitoring, logging, and getting the most from our infrastructure.
  • Assist in the development of a preventative maintenance program
  • Work within a 24/7 monitoring and support model, including on-call escalation point and incident management

A little bit about you:

  • Solid 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Firm understanding and experience in a DevOps culture
  • Experience with Server (Windows), Microsoft System Centre and Network administration
  • Experience executing clearly defined Production Operation standards and processes
  • Experience in a cloud-based infrastructure, specifically: Microsoft Azure and O365
  • Experience with current monitoring tools as well as delivery and development tooling such as Team City and Octopus Deploy
  • Experience with code repository such as Microsoft VSTS and GIT
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools
  • Experience with FedRAMP a plus (desirable
