About the role

We are growing our Information Security team and are currently looking for a talented Security Operations Engineer. You’ll be on the ground level of building the operational framework for maintaining the on premise and cloud security solutions of Nintex R&D. As a SecOps Engineer you will be focusing on building and supporting security tooling and designing for the future of Nintex.  You’ll have an opportunity to participate in the support of new products and services, and will be our expert in optimising existing security services for maximum effectiveness and risk reduction.

In this role, you will span many security domains from investigating intrusions, configuring web application firewalls, testing new security solutions, managing the vulnerability scanning, to helping design secure operation architectures for products deployed in a cloud-hosted environment. You will be traveling internationally to work closely with our international Software Engineering teams, Corporate Infrastructure teams, and the Operational Excellence team. 

About you

  • Experience with compliance frameworks, standards, or laws (ISO, PCI, SOC 2, SOX, GDPR) 
  • Experience with secure scripting and an ability to automate basic integration, data collection, or report creation. 
  • Experience in implementing or operating two or more security related technologies: Application Security Scanners, Certificate Management, Network Protection, File Integrity Monitoring, Security Auditing & Logging, and Vulnerability Management 
  • Experience supporting networks, operating system, database, application or data layers across multiple platforms and technologies 
  • Experience with container technology (docker, rkt, k8s) 
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, communicate delivery expectations, and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work with global teams to influence and educate for security culture and repeatable processes 
  • Communicates solution options to a business and technical audience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of formal education or experience 
  • Has one or more security certifications. Such as CISSP, GCFW, GSEC, GPEN, or other certifications
